Many of you may know of the untimely passing of Tom Edwards, 29 who was Selby RUFC 1st XV Captain. The past weekend as a mark of respect we held a minutes silence before our fixture with Pocklington and we agreed as an extra mark of respect we would donate the proceeds to the on the day raffle to the just giving, set up to honour the young man.  We would like to thank all who bought into the raffle you raised & we donated £195 to the cause.  Here is the just giving link to the Grassroots suicide prevention if anyone would like to donate personally.

We also received a request from Stamford Rugby Club to “Buy a Brick” for their new clubhouse project.  So hopefully they’ll reach their target and in years to come you’ll be able to go to Stamford and know as a Malton member we contributed.  Fingers crossed a future touring venue too, we know a couple of local cricket clubs tour Stamford in summer.

See their project here and their just giving.
