Yesterday we played our first league game of the year, against Hornsea Ladies at home. The weather wasn't on either side, with players facing strong wind, rain, snow and sleet!
.
This was a crucial game for us; having played Hornsea twice so far this season, with a win each.
.
The first try was scored by Hornsea, which we reacted to quickly to even the score and edge ahead with an added conversion. It was a tense game; each team matched the other with try scoring plays. However, a try up and holding a strong defence in the second half, M&N took the win - Leah Barker
.
🏈 It was great to see how well everyone played on Sunday, despite the weather! Our team is improving each week and with every game - Liv Ward
.
Special shout out to:
✨ Maya Dunning; first ever game after only a few training sessions
✨ Ann Taylor; returning game after being out with injury
.
Tries:
🌟 Hannah Bennett
🌟 Liv Ward
🌟 Emily Midgley
.
Conversion:
💫 Nic Pinder
.
Congratulations to our MOTMs:
🏆 Liv Ward; M&N's choice
🏆 Emily Midgley; opposition's choice
.
