Parents, Coaches, Supporters, Senior Players, and Age Grade Volunteers,

Earlier this year, we aimed to run a Ready2Ref course at The Gannock in January. Unfortunately, due to low numbers, the course was unable to go ahead at that time. However, following feedback from various clubs, East Yorkshire RFU have taken this on board and are now planning to host a regional Ready2Ref course over the summer, with the venue to be confirmed.

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone involved in the club to broaden their understanding of the game, build confidence, and develop new skills. Whether you’re already coaching, thinking about getting more involved, or simply want a better grasp of the laws of the game, this course is designed to support you. It’s also a great way to contribute to the club by helping with match officiating across age groups.

We strongly encourage all parents, coaches, senior players, and volunteers to consider taking part so please can Team Managers distribute around their teams. The more people we have with refereeing knowledge, the stronger and more self-sufficient our club becomes for match days. At this stage, we are looking to pre-register potential attendees so that we can secure sufficient numbers and ensure the course goes ahead this time.
