The squads are in for tomorrow’s games, and we’re taking two strong teams over to Pontefract. Boothy returns at tighthead after missing the Doncaster win with a minor injury, and it’s great to see Tengey back in action. After his run-out for the 3s last weekend, he slots into the back row alongside Olly Owuor, with both looking to dominate the breakdown. In the backs, Dylan is back from university and partners with Jacob in the midfield. Other than those changes, the team remains mostly unchanged from last week.

The Super Twos will also be making the trip to Moor Lane. The squad is largely the same as the last match at Barton, with Sqwelchy and Rainesy coming into the pack, replacing Smiler and Leon, who are sidelined with shoulder and knee injuries, respectively. In the backline, there’s a new midfield pairing of Adam Thompson and Matt Clarke, while Nick Still leads the side from fullback.

Unfortunately, there’s no rugby at the Gannock this Saturday, as Withernsea have pulled out of the fixture. They cited player availability, with a number of their squad heading to Old Trafford to support Hull KR. We appreciate their early notice and understand their situation, as we’ve had to give back word on 3s fixtures ourselves in the past and may have to do so again to support our other XVs.

Apologies to our players and supporters who can’t make the trip to Pontefract—the club will be closed tomorrow. We look forward to seeing you next weekend when Bradford Salem come to visit!
