John Brown

Honorary Life Member and club stalwart John Brown sadly passed away last week.

John joined Malton in 1960 after deciding Malton was a better option than York, he went on to captain the 1st XV side in 1962-63, also captaining the 2nd XV later wilst serving as the junior chairman, full club chairman and finally had his stint as club president between 1984/86.  John was given the title honorary life member in 1993, We would like to offer our condolences to John's family.

Richard has informed us that his father's funeral is at Octon Crematorium on the 14th June at 1.30pm followed by a gathering at the club, a wish of the family is that all whom have a club tie regardless of the design please wear it in honour of John.
