New volunteers join the 22/23 club committee following our AGM last month and a hand over committee meeting last night.  The AGM minutes will be attached to the email I’ll send out to members but continuing the committee thanks at the AGM to outgoing volunteers are President Pat Stephenson, Gill Pycock (club secretary), Chris Wilson (fixture secretary) and Steve Riddolls (social chair), big thanks to all for your time on the main committee, they’ve all promised they’re won’t be going far and I’m sure they’ll be helping with club jobs or events long in to the future.

We are proud to announce Eric Brighty as our president for the next two season, Eric a former player with I’m sure some stories to tell, a very keen supporter has travelled with us to many a game last season.   Andy Mitchell (above) is volunteering to take the role as your club secretary,  a great addition to the committee is often described as Mr Malton the former skipper is also fourth in our appearances’ since the turn of the millennium having played 1st XV level 270 times.   Sam Knights joins the committee as fixture secretary with knowledge and contacts all over Yorkshire through his coaching will hopefully bring plenty to the role.  Sean Emms is now heading up the social section and with help from his subcommittee we will be bringing more events for you to be part of.  If you feel you can offer some time to help in any way please drop Emmsy a message.

The committee is still two short, vacant positions are the sponsorship’s secretary & Women & Girls Chair.  Bill and Pete are covering sponsorship for the time being and have drawn up some really helpful guides and prices so if you’re a club member who has the potential to go above and beyond in managing principle club sponsors alongside, pitchside/handbook sponsors but more importantly help any match day sponsor’s enjoy their day with us.   If this is for you, please email maltonandnortonrufc@outlook.com then I’ll forward to Bill Browne.  As with any volunteer role at the club, guidance and help will be there so please don’t be worried about been thrown in trust me you won’t.

CDO Rich John is tacked with seeking for a volunteer or two to step in to the role as Women & Girls chair to help work along the main committee and the W & G sections to drive them in whatever direction they want.
