In order to continue the drive to clear up data on GMS the RFU have done the following:
- All youth players have been de-registered and must all re-register. In order to clear up data on GMS. The RFU have now made this an annual thing and so we must do it again for the 2021-2022 season.
- Player Registration will now be referred to as ‘Player Affiliation’
- All Senior players who were registered players last season will remain registered players for this coming season. However, they will NOT be affiliated to a club on GMS. This WILL NOT affect playing status for season 2021-2022.
PLEASE NOTE, THIS CONCERNS PLAYERS ONLY
So what NEEDS to happen now?
ALL Parent/Carer's of Youth Players must complete the new RFU/GMS process and re- affiliate their child to Malton & Norton RUFC. The ‘Re-Affiliation’ process will work in the same way as ‘Re-Registration’ as before and must be done through the Parent/Carer's GMS profile page, NOT the child's. Youth Players that were ‘Registered’ in 2020/2021 can ‘Re-Affiliate’ to their club without the need for club administrators to approve, only new ‘Affiliations’ require club approval.
We are asking that ONLY Senior players who will play any games at league level i.e. 1st XV, and the Marvels where an official match card has to be submitted to also follow the new process and re-affiliate to Malton & Norton RUFC . If you play for the 2s or 3s you do not need to affiliate to the club at the moment but this may change in the future, you will still be classed as a M&N Player. We as a club can only accept a limited number of affiliated players at league level (RFU Rules for our level). Registered players don't need to select a new club to play for but do need to update thier consents and and medical info we need including emergancy contact details.
The new process for both Youth and Senior players is simple. All you have to do is log on to GMS.
All our Youth section would have done this last season, however, if you have forgotten your username contact maltonandnortonrufc@outlook.com and we can help. If you have forgotten your password, you need to click on Forgotten password on the logon screen to reset.
For Senior Players it might be a bit more difficult, I am sure many have never logged onto the GMS system. If you have no idea what your username or password is then email maltonandnortonrufc@outlook.com or message Feathers and he will help.
In the meantime, we have produced 2 help sheets, one for Youth players and one for Senior Players. The links are below, and they will open as a PDF document.
